Episode 12: The same-question check

1. 1 Ask a plain fact twiceAsk the same plain-fact question two times and compare. This takes about ten seconds.Try: Ask for a country's capital, twice.
2. 2 Different is not wrong. Same is not right.A changed answer is a reason to look closer. A repeated answer is not proof. The same wrong answer is still wrong.
3. 3 If a fact changes, check another sourceUse a trusted source you can name, such as an official page, a book, or an expert.Try: Which source would you trust for this fact?
4. 4 Ask for an exact shapeSay exactly how the answer should look: how many items, how long, one per line. One official guide lists a clear output format as a way to get steadier answers.Try: Give me three names, two words each, one per line.
5. 5 Show a samplePaste one example of what you like. One official guide says examples work better than abstract instructions.Try: Here is one name I like. Give me three in this style.
6. 6 Know the randomness dialThe dial is called temperature. Lower means less randomness. Some apps do not show it, and one guide says an exact repeat is still not promised.Settings differ by tool and change over time. Check your tool's current documentation.
